Struggling to find enjoyment or meaning in your job? Sounds like you’re ready to take a chance – on yourself!

If the thought of going to work everyday makes you anxious or, worse, physically ill, it’s time for you to invest in your career wellbeing. Career anxiety is a real issue. Don’t ignore it! Exploring your past can help you cope with your current job stressors. Examining how you want to work and what you want to do will shift your career future for the better.

Next steps: Find inspiration! If you can’t find it at work (and, clearly, you can’t) look for places where you feel connected & of service. Don’t over think this – simply start right where you are & go from there.

  • If you love volunteering & are already working with a group, then dig deeper into why this place, this community makes you feel whole.
  • If you’ve hit a workout plateau, consider working on a new athletic goal. There’s ample research to suggest that physical exercise (even a simple, consistent walking routine) can ignite creativity & imagination. So get out there!
  • If you’ve misplaced your passion (it happens, don’t sweat it!), seek out people doing things you admire. Neighbors, community members, even someone on another continent could be the inspirational spark you need. The breadth & and scope of our digital world means that we can connect with like-minded people thousands of miles away. Take advantage of it!

If your 9-to-5 leaves you too drained to concentrate on your own potential, you’ll want to join our next Career Masters course. We’re an online community of dreamers who are so ready to become doers – that’s you!
