So many of us get lost in the thinking about creativity – what supplies we’ll need, when we’ll find the time, if we’ll be any good – that we take our authentic selves out of the process. That’s a shame because recent studies have shown that creativity – the simple act of creating something you love for yourself, not for fame or fortune, can have as much positive impact on our later cognitive skills and well being as physical exercise!
That’s reason enough to push doubt aside, put on the headphones & take in a few minutes of mindful creativity prep. Then go out and do your thing – without thinking so much about it!
