Jean Ann Powers

Jean Ann Powers is a gifted coach, counselor and therapist with expertise in creating healthy lives, relationships and families. Beginning at age 8, when she would choreograph her siblings and first cousins in song and dance productions for her relatives, Jean Ann Powers has been gathering and inspiring groups of people of all ages.

Jean Ann began her career after graduating from Marymount Manhattan College in educational film production before returning to Fordham University for a  masters degree in education and counseling. For the last 21 years she has focused her energies on helping people make successful work and life transitions.

In addition to working with adults, she has a breadth of experience with teens that includes leading  a counseling department in a High School in Washington Heights, Manhattan, and working with alcohol and drug addicted teenagers and their families in Dallas, Texas.

For the last 9 years, Jean Ann has divided her time between raising her two young boys Darryl (8) and Andrew (5) with her husband and her private therapy practice, working with couples, individuals and families as they work towards living the lives they long to live.

Jean Ann believes that anyone, no matter how young or old, can, as Thoreau said,  “Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you have imagined.” She is also a talented singer and occasionally you can find her pursuing her art and personal dreams through performance at local restaurants in Dallas.
