When Danica Cosic completed her one to one Career Masters Program with me, earlier this year, she had just left a very dysfunctional workplace, was looking for work and her online business was having problems gaining traction. Months later, she has work she loves at a new business she and a partner launched in September called Curated Escapes, that provides single women with inspiring world travel experiences. Their trips provide small groups of women a balance of organized activities, time on their own and are always hosted by people who have lived or spent significant time in the country they are visiting. The company’s inaugural trip is to Barcelona over this coming New Year’s Day and they still has a few spots open. You can learn more here.
It was fun to catch up with Danica this week who also met her boyfriend, Zeis who is also her business partner since we completed her program. Their company was created through a mutual love of travel, adventure and discovering unique experiences and people. In our catch-up talk this week, I asked her what she had gained in her Bright Livelihoods program that helped her make this transition and she offered three main benefits:
1. The one to one coaching program and exercises gave her the confidence to believe in her ability to create the life she really wanted that includes combining adventure travel and work.
2. She developed tools for communicating with her boss that helped her stand up for her rights, values and eventually leave a job that was draining her self-esteem, creativity and life force.
3. She developed coping skills including breathing for the stress she was under and found that working with a coach that was positive and calm to be very grounding which led her to making better decisions for her life and work.
It was a great honor working with Danica and I hope you will support her new business by sharing her link with others.
