For over 20 years, Andrea Shaw has been involved in the educational arena with experience in University Marketing, Admissions, Career and Student Services as well as Educational Publishing and Technology in both the non-profit and for-profit markets. Presently, she is responsible for the Student Relations team at Pearson and gets to engage with College students on creative initiatives that help Pearson Education better understand the thinking of our younger generation.
Aside from her corporate life, Andrea consults with Healthcorps, a Dr. Oz non profit organization whose mission is to fight childhood obesity in the schools and teach our children to make healthy and productive decisions. In addition, she teaches yoga to kiddos to help them deal with daily stresses of life.
She has taught Marketing Strategy and Organizational Behavior at the University of the Pacific and Babson College. She has an Economics degree from Cornell University and an MBA from the University of Virginia.
Andrea’s took the leap 6 years ago and moved from the East to West Coast changing her life, both professionally and personally. She can attest to the power of visualizing happier and more fulfilling work and is delighted to be able to share her story and teachings with others through Bright Livelihoods.
Andrea lives in Sacramento area with her husband and two boys, who keep her extremely busy but well grounded.
